PL Primary Stars Tournament at Boundary Park!

This month we welcomed Werneth primary school, Whitegate end, St Pauls Primary school and WillowPark academy to join in our PL Primary stars tournament held on the Boundary Park pitch.

There was great football on show from all teams participating and lots of smiles had and memories made playing on Boundary Park!

School Visits:

Chaddy the owl was out and about this month as he made his way down too join in with all the fun of the coronation weekend.

Chaddy also made his way down to Oasis Academy Clarkfield where he had a busy day meeting all pupils and visiting all classrooms as a part of the prize won at the Oldham Headteachers conference as well as making an appearance at Friezland where he took part in the sports day. Chaddy joined in all activities with the egg and spoon race being a favourite on the day!

Hear Us Roar:

This month as a part of the hear us roar initiative we held a tournament for Year 5&6 girls. We welcomed 6 schools who all did themselves proud in offering girls a place to play competitive football.

Twinning Project:

This month we started our delivery at Buckley Hall Prison, delivering the Twinning Project. 11 participants made a start on the introduction to football qualification which they will be completing with help from us at Oldham Athletic Community Trust. 

They will work towards this qulaifacation over a 12 week period to support them with new skills and qualifications for the future. 

Back to the Future:

This month, our Back to the Future project returned after we concluded the orginal pilot for the project. Due to such a positive reception, we have continued the project woth 3 of the residential homes, as well as a BRAND NEW partner in Throstle Court!

We visited Violet Hill to restart the programme and the residents had a brilliant time playing virtual badminton on the Nintendo Switch, helping to keep them active and overall having a good time socialising.

May Soccer Schools:

This month we hosted a soccer schools for May half-term. As always, it was a fantastic week of over 60 children enjoying 4 days filled of football fun in the sun! Check out the highlights below and hear the feedback from some fo the participants about the week.
