What did we do in November 2023? ... Find out here! 

Player visits:

This month both Liam Hogan and Dan Gardner paid a visit to our OACT school partner OASIS Limeside! The players spent time talking to the school football team about their experiences in a football team and provided some great advice about their teamwork and leadership.

Dan Ward also made an appearance at another one of our OACT school partners, Hey with zion, where he spoke to some year 4 pupils about his career, lifestyle and aspirations.

Kurt Willoughby and Mark Shelton also visited Mills Hill school this month where they both had a great time talking to the pupils and spent time answering questions from Year 5 and 6.

PL Primary Stars:

This month we welcomed children from Woodlands Primary school, Greenacres Primary school, St Pauls Primary School, Firbank Primary school, Royton Hall Primary school, Whitegate End Primary school and Hodgeclough Primary school to take part in our PL Primary Stars tournament.

We welcomed year 3&4 Boys from the 7 primary schools to take part in a tournament where there was some fantastic football on show and even more memories made.

Play on the Pitch:

This month our OACT school partners St Pauls and Hey with Zion as well as teams from Willow park and Oasis Limeside played on the pitch at half time in the Oldham Athletic games against Eastleigh and Ebbsfleet! 

Our play on the pitch experience is exclusive to OACT School Partners! 

Toy Appeal:

As part of the collection fans donated items at both the fixtures against Ebbsfleet United (25 November) and Boreham Wood (2 December).

In addition, donations can be made on non-matchdays within the club shop during its opening hours up until Monday 11th December 2023

The donation point for the Toy Appeal is within Athletic Store, the Oldham Athletic Club Shop, as well as at the Co-op Store in Uppermill.

A huge thank you to everbody who has supported our Toy Appeal this christmas! 

Women’s Just Play Session:

Our women’s just play sessions continued this month every Tuesday 7-8pm at the Honeywell and we took some time to speak to the participants about their journey with us and what the session means to them.

Matchday Experiences:

Our matchday experiences once again continue as we welcomed 11 mascots in November and 24 flag bearers to have an unforgettable matchday expereince at Boundary Park. We also hosted the two play on the pitch experiences as covered earlier too!

Across the tow matches in November, we also higlhighted two charity spotlights with SAAFA and Springboard Dementia Oldham.  

Hear Us Roar updates:

This month as part of our hear us roar initiative we supported a girls only football tournament where we welcomed children from 9 local primary schools to play competitive football in a safe and friendly environment. 

We also visited Hodge Clough to see their girls only afterschool football club. Hear us roar allows us to support and increase girls playing football across Oldham after the past few years of the Lionesses inspiring a generation of girls to take part in the game!

PLKicks Firework Safety:

Ahead of bonfire night, we educated our PLKicks Participants with a firework safety lesson with the aims to educate about the dangers of handling fireworks and also the implications of Illegally possessing them.
